
The biking tour takes you through old towns and villages, along the sea, among vineyards and olive plantations, through tunnels and across valleys. It is suitable for everyone. Parenzana is an old narrow-gauge railway between Trieste (Italy) and Poreč (Croatia), nowadays converted into a recreational pathway.
You will start the tour together with a guide at the cruise terminal in the port of Koper. You will cycle along the coast towards the fishing town of Izola. Then you will continue towards the valley of Strunjan, where you can admire the salt pains. Your guide will explain about the importance of salt for the Istrian region. After a short stop you will pass the Valeta tunnel and reach Portorož, one of the biggest tourist resorts in Slovenia with a beautiful sandy beach.
Your final destination will be the spectacular village of Piran. You’ll enjoy some free time to explore the town on your own. Afterwards we will take you back to Koper.
