This Lake Bled and Ljubljana tour from Koper is a private full-day trip for cruise passengers and anyone staying on the Slovenian coast. Only your group takes part, and a driver-guide handles the roads, so you can sit back and watch the countryside go by on the way to the Alps.
You start with a panoramic drive around Lake Bled, a glacial lake at the edge of the Julian Alps. Then there’s a short walk by the water and free time. Most people use it to try the famous Bled cream cake. You can also visit Bled Castle for the view over the lake, or take a pletna boat to the island. Both have entry fees that are paid separately. You have about two hours here.
Next is Ljubljana, the capital. A walking tour takes you through the old town past the Town Hall, the Triple Bridge, the Franciscan Church, St. Nicholas Cathedral and the Robba Fountain. After the walk you get free time to look around the shops. This stop also takes about two hours.

Marko was excellent! He took us to a beautiful spot in Lake bled and we had one of their traditional cakes. Then he took us to Ljubljana and walked us around. Fantastic! We had a hail on the way back but it did not damper the day!
Incredible, the guide was very accommodating and allowed us enough time to do what we wanted at both stops. Definitely worth the time to took to travel from the coast to the mountains
Lake Bled was amazing. Loved Ljubljana. Wish we had a lot more time. Too much driving for a cruise stop but we really wanted to see these sights.
Yes, if your ship is in port for a full day. The tour takes about 8 hours and the start time is set at booking, so you can plan it around your all-aboard time. Keep in mind that a good part of the day is spent in the car.
The stop at Lake Bled is about two hours, including the drive around the lake and a short walk. Most travelers pick one:
Entry to the castle and the boat ride are not included and are paid on the spot.
It may not suit travelers who don’t like long car rides, since the two stops are far from the coast. If you want more time in one place, a tour focused only on Bled or only on Ljubljana may work better.
This is a private tour, so only your group takes part. Past travelers say they saw more than on similar ship excursions, and the guide can adjust the pace to what your group wants to do.
Children are welcome with an adult, and infant seats are available. The tour is listed as wheelchair accessible, but a moderate fitness level is recommended for the walking parts.
You can cancel up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours before the start are not accepted or refunded.
