Only a short drive from the lake and tucked into a narrow valley, lies the Vintgar Gorge, one of the most popular attractions around Bled. A 1.5 hour hike will lead you through the ravine as you admire the clear flow of Radovna River, walk over bridges and tread the boardwalks, every bend more picturesque than the last.
Our journey will continue on the Pokljuka Plateau, famous for its hiking and cross-country skiing trails where biathlon championships are held every year. Its wonderful pine forests are a remarkable sight, growing at elevation reaching well above 1000 meters (3280 feet). From this home to abundant flora and fauna we will descend on a windy road to the glacially-made marvel of Lake Bohinj.
