Detailed Itinerary

1

Small group approach with carefully planned time, where experienced local tour operator’s chauffeur-guide will collect you at designated location for an informative hourly ride to Bled to start your unique alpine experience.

2

You’ll visit Bled to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lake and alpine fresh air. We'll spend enough time to choose two experience out of few we are offering at supplement: 1. Take a ride on 'pletna' handmade wooden traditional boat to the lake island. Rowers still use man power as in old days, making your experience more memorable. The tiny, tear-shaped island beckons from the shore and the ride with the 'pletna' boat is a real thrill. Climb atop 99 stairs and ring a bell for your wishes to come true. 2. Visit Bled Castle atop a cliff more than 100m above the lake, It is a medieval fortress, with towers and a terrace offering magnificent views. The castle houses a unique treasure - a reconstructed Gutenberg's wooden printing press on which the master printer will demonstrate old printing techniques using hand-made paper. 3. Take a short walk along the lake shore and enjoy a nature. 4. Stop at the local patisserie; taste Bled’s famous cream cake – kremšnita. Try it yourself.

3

From Bled you'll have hourly drive to reach Postojna where famous Postojna Cave is located. One of the biggest Slovenia's underground gems.

4

The Pivka river has been carving the Postojna Cave for 2 million years. The water level has changed over time and created a beautiful "multi-level" underground world filled with stalactites, stalagmites, columns, curtains and other gorgeous shapes was gradually created as the water was leaving layers of limestone behind. You’ll enter the cave by train. The train ride takes about 10 minutes, and then you’ll continue on foot on a guided tour. The cave itself is rather peaceful and completely dark without lights, but not during your tour since it was already electrified in 1883. Around 100 animal species live in the cave! The main attraction is, of course, the proteus or human fish, which was at first mistaken for a baby dragon. Postojna cave is one of the Slovenia's longest cave systems.

5

From the karstic world of Postojna Cave we'll take you to your next stop. After an one hour drive we will reach coastal town of Piran.

6

The next stop is Piran. there, you will feel as though you have stepped right into a picture postcard. You will be charmed during our walks through narrow winding streets! At the main square, you will be greeted by the statue of the most famous son of Piran, Giuseppe Tartini, composer and virtuoso violinist; reaching atop to the dramatically situated Cathedral of St. George, patron of the city.
